Why I am Inspired to be a RISE Mentor: Young athletes are surrounded by the finish product of what an Athlete should be. Commercials, Social Media, Interviews, etc all give athletes who have made it already OR they are only showing the good days. Every athlete is going through a process, struggle, challenge. I feel it is our job as seasoned athletes to guide young ones through these hard times.
What would I tell my 13-year-old self: Don't worry about the result, focus on the moment. If you push yourself the hardest you ever have in every moment you will be happy with the result.
Favorite way to focus: Music!
Best way to rest/recover: Sleep
Fun Fact: People are surprised when they see me on the dance floor.
What I do now: I have switched from athlete to coach. So still in the grind but need to stay fit so I look the part.
My Favorite Mentoring Moment: Helping a young athlete transition from being bullied to being on a podium.
