How To Generate #Mind-POWER

Mind power is everything. It can be our biggest super power or our greatest limiting factor. 

If you look at some of the greatest athletes…Michael Jordan, Mia Hamm, Michael Phelps, Tom Brady, etc. You see what is visible to the eye. You see the work they put in at practice, their athletic body types that match the demands of their disciplines, their performances on the field, in the pool, or on the court, their accomplishments, and their disappointments.

What you don’t see, is the amount of work that went into developing their mindset. There is no holographic floating above their heads showing the rest of the World what it is they are thinking about, the type of self-talk they repeat, self-awareness, or their personal mantra. All their mind work is done in the complete dark, there is no physical proof of it, other than the fact that they are the best at what they do. 

This is an extreme example when looking at some of the most accomplished athletes, but it’s a topic that deems just as significant and impactful for every single person out there. This isn’t necessarily about becoming the best at WHAT you do. Although, this is often a frequent side effect of the power of mind work. 

This is about self-mastery and growth. Mastering your mind to achieve your best and just be plain ol happy with who you are and what you can do. 

 The world would look at building the optimal mindset approach if it were something that we could all visibly see and recognize just how drastically different the trajectory is to someone who puts in the mind work versus those who do not.

Having the ability to put in the work is not a born skill, which is a very common excuse. It is just a DO or DO NOT. It’s simple. Some do the thing and others choose not to do the thing. It’s not easy to dive into your own mind and become aware of the triggers, the motivations, the reasonings, what drives you, why it drives you, what brings you down, your fears, who helps you, and who is a bad influence. 

Just like any work, it can be tedious, demanding, emotionally taxing, uncomfortable, and you make very small gains over time. However, the seconds, minutes, days, months, and years add up and what you get on the other side of the work put in is pure EUPHORIA.

Sometimes it can be easier to shy away from true potential than it is to actually chase after it. Because chasing after it means doing everything and anything to make yourself just that 1% better or becoming that 1% at any given athletic or personal endeavor. It takes repetition and intention.
